R.i.p. Esee 6

Dude, I feel for you. I was splitting and batoning some firewood the other night and apparently dislodged my BK-9, which fell into some snow. I forgot where I stuck it, so it took me 20 minutes to figure out where it fell and dig it out, and this was in my own back yard! Hope it turns up for you.

Its amazing how the snow sucks everything in, my daughter losses somthing evertime she goes to school, and its only in the winter.
Glad you found your BK9.

I lost my Izula during a 4 mile hike through this summer. I backtracked about 1/2 a mile and there it was in a small wash. Hunter Orange paracord from now on for me. That is what gave it away and made it simpleto find. Hope it turns up Flexxx.

I live in South Ogden, I think its about 3 hours from ephraim.
I also covered alot of area and the snow don't help finding anything....

black blade, grey handle (stock)

I dated a few girls that lived in South Ogden when I lived in Provo. Thats out of my area now for sure! Next time, play up Fairview Canyon, then I can help. ;) Good luck with your search!

Ever been up Indian Trail in ogden, its pretty simple but cool.

Thanks everyone...

that's cool man, it wasn't your fault. the 6 just got freaked by the sight of wilderness instead of the usual drawer and photography equipment like so many other esee knives are subjected to these days. or you got it's feelings hurt by using your beckers too often :D

Man I know the feeling. It seems like its every week I lose my knife, especially my spyderco's for some reason. I've lost my manix about a dozen times or more, sometimes for weeks.

I know the feeling all to well. I lost my Trident the other day, not an expensive blade. But its been my back pocket buddy for a long time. I was crushed, till I found it stuck in a stump I was hacking at. I remembered to bring the axe and my hat back in the house but forgot to pull the knife out of the stump. What a feeling of relief, let me tell you.

Nope, Provo Canyon is the farthest north I've been. One of these days though I'd love to visit Ogden and Bountifull canyons. Talked about it with the girls I dated and we never managed to make it there. lol.

Hope this all ends well. ;)

I've lost stuff like this before and it really does make you feel like a dumbass. I feel for ya buddy.

Losing a knife sucks. I have a Victorinox Swisstool (big, shiny hunk of metal), that I've lost in my apartment of all places. I know I used it to cut up some rice crispy squares the GF made, and that was back before Halloween! I can't find it anywhere, and it's driving me nuts.

Not to mention a small collection that I had that has been lost when i moved into my apartment. Just had a couple Muela's, an antique Tourist dagger my great grandpa picked up in the middle east, and...an original vintage Sykes-Fairbairn commando dagger. Thats the one that hurts the most!

Losing knives (or anything valuable for that matter) sucks the big one. It's frustrating, and makes you feel like an idiot when you can't remember where you put something. I'm just hoping I can track down my knives when i do my next move lol.

Don't give up hope. I lost my favorite knife when I was turkey hunting with my son.

I wasn't sure what day I had lost it on, but we had hunted 3 days in 3 different areas.

I was disapointed but knew it had served me well. I knew the knife was long since discontinued but figured I could pick one up on ebay.

When we got home I found out the knife I gave $20 for about 20 years earlier was now bringing $150 on ebay.

I decided we should go out and look some more :).

After retracing our steps the best we could, my son found my knife in waist high grass at the edge of a field.

We knew what tree we had been sitting at and that we got up from there and walked through this tall grass to get to the field.

He looked down at just the right time and saw it.

That was 10 years ago, and every so often out of the blue he will say
"Hey Dad, remember when I found your knife" :D LOL..

I did give it one last search in the mourning but had no luck, it started snowing and has no quit.

No worries....

Once while camping with a few of my friends, i dropped my new sog flash 1 and went home after. Later that morning, i realized i didnt have it in my jacket or in my kit at all. So I went back to the place where i was camping and didn't find it even then. After about 4 hours of searching a small area, my friend calls me and tells me he had it, and it was one of the happiest moments of my life.
Im sure if you retrace your steps that youll find it. and once you do, you will feel such a state of euphoria and relief. I feel you man. search and rescue mission. engage
