R.i.p. Esee 6

I did give it one last search in the mourning but had no luck, it started snowing and has no quit.

No worries....

I know how you feel kinda. I lost my ESEE fire kit a while back. I have searched pockets and everything. The last place I remember having it was when I was on a camping trip this past summer. I am sure I put it back in my pack though. I will just have to save up the money and buy another one.

As i have said in other threads-the belt attachments for the ESEE sheaths suck! I absolutely love my ESEE knives and sheaths but the darn belt attachments scare me. I had the molle locking attachments and the bolts backed out and i almost lost my knife. Then i switched to the clip plate for about 5 minutes and that made me nervous so i took that off and switched back to the molle locked ones (with new screws cus i lost the old ones, with lock tite). I eventually broke my sheath anyway and am now waiting a leather bushcraft sheaths from JRE Industries.

Come on ESEE make a sheath belt attachment that can be trusted to keep our knives on our hip and not lost in the forest!

I'm sure the MOLLE Back would have been good, besides I blame myself for not paying attention.

The MOLLE locks are NOT meant for belt carry. It is meant for attaching your knife to MOLLE gear. They are not meant for belt carry cause they can pop open (Due to belts being too thick). It has been brought up several times on the forum. Also on the instructions, they mention both for the Izula/ESEE4 that you can fashion a belt loop out of paracord and the cord lock. You can't blame ESEE for user error can you?

Taken directly from blade-tech.
"The Molle-Lok attaches accessories to the Pals/Molle body armor or load bearing equipment, vests, tactical bags, pouches etc..."

Best of luck with your new sheath.
