Thought the same thing myself. I didn't think your post was uncalled for at all. I think RW would have laughed.
 
I was shocked when I saw the article saying Robin Williams had committed suicide. He was a really gifted actor. A lot of funny movies and creepy in One Hour Photo. He will be missed.

I didn't even realize he had addiction problems, until reading about it after his death. I hope he's at peace.
 
After I saw that on the news I recalled one Halloween I spent about 10 years ago in San Francisco where I was living at the time... I was four: Robin Williams was with his body guards passing out candy and glow sticks to all the kids. He seemed like a very nice guy; someone said it earlier but he seemed very genuine unlike other celebrities.

As a teen I went to my sisters every week to watch Mork and Mindy. We had never seen that type of comedy, and it had us rolling with laughter every week.

Thanks Mobilerd, my thoughts exactly. This one hits close for alot of us here. No suicide is good or happy. Robin Williams suffered with severe depression for decades. There is no joy in killing to try to escape its grip...

A little hint you two gems from someone who lives with this crap every day:

Nobody ends their life to entertain anyone or make a grand exit. Anyone so depressed and feeling so hopeless that death seems better than life is not doing anything for anyone. They are hurting in a way few others can relate to.

And, no, he would never be happy that people are even attempting to laugh or joke about it. Again, as someone with my own mental illness, I can joke and take jokes about the 'crazy' stuff, but never about the real pain. It hurts too much and makes you see a side of life too laugh.

Mental illness is a permanent problem. It doesn't go away one day. You might want to learn a little about it, as there are likely folks in your life dealing with a mental illness. It's a life sentence my friend. You can do your best to manage it, to treat the symptoms. But it will always be there.

And I guarantee you Robin Williams would have laughed his butt off at what Ulf said. Especially the naked lady avalanche. That was classic!

This one hits me way too close to home to lighten up when I see you guys making funnies and then assuming the man would find it funny. You just don't get the reality. Sad.

So a comedian who made lots of jokes about this very subject would be offended? I highly doubt it.

I get the reality. He was so depressed he killed himself. It sucks. I'm still in shock. However, you are going overboard, and I sense you're getting close to running off the rails over this.

Go back and read what was said. READ IT. I'll wait... See anything that offensive? Was anybody making fun of RW or belittling him?

Like I said - lighten up Francis.

I happen to have loved the man. Look who posted the thread. Why would I bother if I didn't care?
