R.I.P Vampire Gerbil

Oh no.

I kept hoping that he would improve and rejoin us on a regular basis and things would all be right again.

Well, at least after all of his troubles, he finally went peacefully.

Goodbye Dave.

RIP, Dave. He sent me a great sticker from Art Bell after we had an interesting conversation once. I made a sheath I do believe he wore from his ear. He was one of a kind.

I did not know him, except what I read in his posts and what people said about him. I would like to extend my condolences to all who loved him, and who will miss him. He was obviously an extraordinary person to have garnered such respect and affection from so many.

Rest in Peace

Dave, I'll miss you, you old Jarhead. :(

I really don't know what else to say, except that he was my friend, and that I know he's in a better place than he has been for the last couple of years.

i'm really bummed now. at least i had the pleasure of talking with him. i was hoping he would get better. i feel so bad that i didnt get the knives finished and auctioned off. i need suggestions on what to do with the money raised. please post suggestions in my sticky.

Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord,
And let perpetual Light shine upon him.
May his soul
And the souls of all the faithful departed
Through the mercy of God
Rest in peace.
Amen.

Dave brought us much laughter and joy. I'm glad I was able to meet him in person and spend some time together in the past. He truly was a unique individual and will be missed by all who knew him.

I raise my glass and shed a tear for my dearly departed brother.

I debated with myself as to whether or not to write a reply to this thread and decided to purge myself, you see Dave is one of my best friends. We understand each others sorrows and fears and the need occasional need for space. I will miss him very much. Dave - damnit you didn't call first.

Oh No..
I'm Very Sad to hear this...
I can't believe it...

Dave was by far one of the most interesting people I ever met...

The last time I saw Dave was at Blade with Rob Simonich.
He was Yucking it up with Rob and even had Rob put his Gerbil cape on his cowboy hat..

I'm Very sad to see him go.. I know his life started to fall apart after his wife passed..

Take Care Dave..

You will be missed..

It's the first break he's had in a long time, except for TJ and the rest of you doing so much for him. He did a lot for us. I'm glad he's at peace.

Hey.

I just talked to Edith, Dave's mom. The Deputy Sheriff said that the found the ashes of two dogs in the apartment, in cans. We know that one would be for Sig. Edith said that the other is most likely the white Malamute? She said it was a beautiful dog.

Does anyone recall this dog's name? I'm not sure why they need the name, but they would like it.

The Deputy told Edith that they believe Dave had been dead approximately 12hours before he was found. What they need to do is to get Gil Grissom on the case.

I reassured Edith that Dave's death would not have been intentional. I don't know if one would be sitting on the couch if they had a stroke. He was taking some pain medication, so it is possibly that if he was heavily medicated and that he didn't realize he had taken something already. Or, sometimes just the regular dose can cause one to go into respitory arrest. I think. I don't know.

Edith is just full of questions about why? Why? I don't have a lot of answers for her, but I listen and I try to help.

What she really needs right now is the name of that white dog.

Thanks,

TJ
