R.I.P Vampire Gerbil

David was one of the best.

A search showed he's had several dogs...Jake and...blue? both shepard/rott mixes.
I think the white one was named Uzi. That's just a faint reccollection. I could be wrong and I haven't done a search.
Most of V.G.'s older posts have been purged from the system I think. Mybe some one else will have better luck than I. I think the search engine hates me.:)

Judy, Thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing all that you have done for our friend.

Rest David, pain free at last.

Well hell.:( RIP Dave.
Dave and I talked a bit online a few times and there was much more to Dave than what most people knew or realized and I'm glad that I got too see a small glimpse of that side of Dave and I'll always wish that I could've seen more.:(
The word for goodbye was never in my people's language as we believed we would always see our friends again whether in this life or beyond so I'll say Donadagohvi Dawi.
Until we see each other again....

Even though it may be hard for those left behind, it's good when a person's pain is finally over with. That his dogs were sitting with him even in death is beautiful. May he rest in peace.

Dave posted in a thread I started once, his wit was very apparent,as was his humor.
So very sorry to hear this. :(
Smoke and a prayer sent.

Doug

Very sad news indeed.:( On the one hand I will miss the wonderful wit and humor he brought to the forums. On the other hand I am happy that he is finally at peace. It is hard to think of all the pain that man endured over these last few years.
God Speed Dave! Rest and know you will not be forgotten.

Didn't know Dave, but read some posts.
On the couch, at night, next to his dogs, ending the pain and with the hope of seeing those loved and sorely missed again seems like a decent way to pass.
Peace to you and those who'll miss you.

Very sorry to hear of the loss, but like others have said, Dave is no longer in pain. I will miss his humor. Rest my friend...

. . . Dave has passed away . . . The neighbors went over to check on him and found him sitting on the couch. Both dogs were sitting next to him.

Very sad to hear this, especially this close to a holiday. :(

Still, I think it's a good way to go, with 'friends' close by. :o (good dogs! pat pat . . . )

Condolences to the family, and all who were close to him.

thx - cpr
