The date thing really has me confused? I first read you work with your dad, then I read he died 7 years ago ,then you post a facebook post saying "Plz Check The Date When My Dad Posted This" and the date is last year ??? :confused:

He meant that his real father died and his mother remarried and now he has a (step)"dad". And he's right, lets not talk about his family, just knives. :)

I'm just playing devils advocate here, but almost any steel can be honed to hair shaving sharp, including low carbon.
Chop through a 2x4 and then shave with it.
