By special request :) here is a thread to show all 11 of the R-series knives from Himalayan Imports. I will be posting a photo of each one. I don't have any of the specs, so if anyone reading this happens to own one of these knives, then please post the specs (and a photo or two, if possible). Comments (from anyone) are welcome, of course.

Up first:

LEFT: R1 "Stick Knife" RIGHT: R2 "Jungle Killer"

These photos came from the document titled "The Missing Pages In the H.I. Catalog", which can be downloaded as a .pdf file:

I want an R6 first, then we'll work on the rest.

That's what I was thinking about when pondering slimming the IBBB down a bit. I love that.

I had an R-3 (gave it to my little brother from another mother). I also have an R-6 (like a Sarge/Kismet Practical Hunter on steroids), great little belt knife. I've got the R-9, and it's....well its an odd duck. I haven't figured out what to do with it in over a decade. The R-10 is a sweet little brute. I have one sporting rock hard maple slabs and it's been through hell and back. I need to make a better sheath for it. Great work knife, and it could be pressed into a defensive role. Solid.

Personally, I'd be jazzed to get my hands on an R-11;)

I have a 3, 4, 5 and a couple Sarges. It seems I satisfied the big knife craze and find the smaller ones becoming more alluring. Thanks Maester Tall for sharing. Was there a D series as well?

R11 you'd have jazz hands indeed!

R9 looks like a fantastic cheese and fudge knife.

My commentary for what it is worth:

R3 is super nice
R6 is a 'buy right now'
R7 is a 'buy for the guy at church who really wants a skinner'
R8 looks like a rhino and is for killing rhino.
R10 Fantastic
R11 - hold on, I have to swing this around for a bollywood dance number.

edit: I'd love to add to the "Hidden Catalog". There are so many amazing versions through the years that I learn about maybe one or two new models a week!

The Kancha Kami Replica knife is outstanding. Anybody have one?
