R-series knives from HI (eleven of them!)

Boy that R6 has seen better days...looks like it found a much better home;)
 
I don't think it's began to see any bad days. It certainly has a lot of days left, that's for sure.

Santa said his Elf (I'm sure there's Elf Non Believers out there too) Kismet made the sheath for a different knife but it fit this one perfect too.

The general consensus here at work is that it deserves shared belt time with the IBBB. I love my IBBB, everybody knows that but I agree. This will get some carry time for sure.

Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous, I'm in love. I NEED a "Dil" - that Kami mark is gorgeous.
 
I ordered the entire series through Auntie. No worries, she said she'd have more of the rest made to go around!!
 
My favorite is the R11, provided the handle is long enough. Can't tell dimensions from the photos.

In the L-series, I like the one on the right side of the above photo. I seem to recall that in the original posting the model numbers were reversed, so I'm not sure if the one I like is called L1 or L3. It's this one:

There was one set of new L-series blades posted a few weeks ago. However, the guards on those blades were much wider than in Howard's original design, shown here. Since the purpose of these guards, I believe, is to trap an opponent's blade, I think the original guards were superior.

I held all three of those that were waiting to go to BigBore. Auntie graciously let me and Bookie very carefully and under a very watchful eye check them out.
The one you chose was also my favorite of the bunch. All were very nice. I didn't find the guards overly large but it's been awhile and I again was under sensory overload absorbing a whole bunch of cool knives including Cul's Spear Vala that was just a knock out punch to my heart.

I best go find a picture, we all like pictures right?

Well photobucket is being....well photobucket. I officially hate photobucket. They try to improve and every time it gets worse and worse.

I'll get em later, frustration is not good for me.

Since I received my falcata, an L1 like Howard's moved to the top of my bucket list. Love it.

And yes, photobucket is absolute garbage now. Super frustrating.

I just get the BF gold membership, and attach my pics directly from my computer to BF.

That's what I do too, but photobucket WAS nice off site place to store and doctor photos.

That said, it would be way easier if everyone was a gold member;)
