My thoughts too. Ive seen coons that I thoght were rabid and Dad told me it was distemper.

I had my 19 month old out in front of the house and I heard him start saying 'meow', which is what he does whenever he sees a cat. Well I turned around to see a ticked off coon sitting there. I live in the suburbs so shooting it wasn't an option. I threw a box over the top of the fella and called animal control. Apparently distemper was really bad this year.

A 125 grain round nosed lead bullet and 5.2 grains of uniqe powder

I never got near it. I picked it up with a shovel so I didn't touch it .

Probably not the best idea to keep a 'coon as a pet...

I never said I was bright
I pick him up 'cause his momma was dead. His eyes were still closed and I had to feed him with a dropper, I even had to rub him down ........well you all know where, to entice him to go pee and poop. Had him for a long time. As easy to house train as a cat.
