  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

"RadioActive Duty" (RAD) Coming This Sunday December 12, 2021, at 9:00pm Eastern!!!!. . . . . With a NUCLEAR Option!!!!

I’m going with Satin finish black Micarta.
I do like that double cut look. I recently moved home to Kentucky. With the extra humidity in the summer and rain and snow in the winter. I have to think about corrosion resistance. Satin is I believe the most resistant to corrosion. I know Infi is nearly stainless, but I will be edc’ing this blade and putting it to the test. I’m going satin for that reason.

From what I have heard from folks that actually work at Busse Combat

Double cut is bead blasted one way then blasted crossing that way, thus double cut .

Imagine painting with strokes going vertical then the second coat is horizontal.

I like double cut then I scotchbright them myself, kind of double cut satin :)

IN Kentucky or any other humid state I would for sure go satin though given the choices between the two.

What grit scotchbright?
And why satin vs DC for corrosion resistance.
Does the polishing close off the pores of the metal or something?
to my understanding bead blasting opens up the steels pores, so that creates the matte looking finish but makes it worse for corrosion resistance. satin is just smooths the surface so instead of bigger open pores on DC, only little pores remain (my uneducated guess on satin grit would be around 400)

Am I correct in thinking that this is NOT a Ganzaa? I don't have to send an email within 10 seconds of the release in order to get a RAD do I? I have been fighting the urge to grab a Satin Nuclear RAD, I don't want to miss out.
