For those who are not aware, this raffle is to help benefit Rebecca, the wife of our friend and BF member Peter "KYenglish".

Rebecca Patrick-Howard is battling a rare genetic connective tissue disorder called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. Although Rebecca is only 36 years old, her body is that of someone who is twice her age and her ongoing battle with the chronic illness and widespread pain as a result of her EDS has severely affected her quality of life.

The knife in the raffle is a replica of John's first knife. I took a picture of that "original" knife, which John has hanging on the wall of his shop, at a Gathering in 2010.

John decided to make an updated version of the knife, and produced this beauty in IPE -

Rockywolf now owns the IPE version.

John then offered a limited, serialized run of these, and I got the chance to get #1 because I guessed what the IPE version was, based on my having examined the knife on his wall previously.

I am not sure how many he made in this run, but these are usually limited to 10 knives total.

So - you are getting a chance to own some JK History, and helping out a fellow forum member in the process.

As much as I like my chances at winning as it stands right now, I sure hope more folks get in on a chance for this fine knife and help a fellow member out in doing so.
 
My mother-in-law flew in so we've had some extra expenses. I will get in on this, this coming Friday once I am paid again

If your mother in law was like my first one you would say it like this, "my mother in law flew in and we had to pay to store her broom, so we are short of money."
