I had never ordered anything from Ragweed Forge before although I'd been haunting Ragnar's website for probably a year. I'd been watching the forums for mention of him and everything I saw was good. Now I know why.

Last Sunday I began some prep work and began communicating with him about making an order. He responded literally the same day and I sent him my order list to see if everything I wanted from his website was in stock. It was, he obviously maintains his website very well.

I entered my order Tuesday afternoon. He sent me a confirmation that he had mailed the order Wednesday and I got them today.

Everything I ordered was there.

Wow! Talk about super service! If anybody is wondering about pulling the trigger on an order I would advise you to do so immediately, I think you'll be glad you did!
 
I agree! I ordered a knife from Ragnar recently and the product and service were superb. I give him a big thumbs up. :)
 
I too had a great experience ordering from Ragweed Forge. Excellent communication and very prompt shipping. I'd recommend him to anyone. :thumbup:
 
I hope you folks don't mind if I pile on with a "+1" type post here...


I've only ordered from Ragweed Forge once, and was surprised to get a near-immediate confirmation email that included an apology; seems I had placed my order on the late side of the day, and Ragnar felt bad that he wouldn't be able to get my order shipped out until the next morning!


Is there anyone who hasn't suffered thru the exact OPPOSITE kind of "customer service" at one time or another, and moaned about the way it oughta be....?? Happily, Ragnar sets the bar pretty high there, with great pricing and great service.


The ONLY company I've dealt with that can claim BETTER service is McMaster Carr; I have literally placed an order in the morning, and received my delivery from UPS in the afternoon of that very same day. I have no clue how they manage that... :confused:
 
I write this with no hesitation.
I am probably an oldster compared to some here.

In all my years of net and mail orders spanning 40+ years I've never had better service than what I've had with Ragnar.


He does business the old fashioned way and that may be the highest compliment I can pay him.

He once came through for me on a Christmas order in a way that could only be described as above and beyond. I won't list the details for fear that some might take advantage. Suffice to say that I was amazed by his good nature and concern.

He reacted to the situation as if we had known one another for years and yet it was maybe my 2nd order from him.

He is the best at what he does and the very epitome of class.

I am not affiliated with his business in any way and this may fit better in GB&U but let there be no doubt about doing business with this man.

Nuff said.

My sentiments exactly, what you all said :thumbup: I've ordered from Ragnar several times with excellent results. Once, he actually called me at home on a Saturday to confirm an item that was in question...and then we had a pleasant conversation about other stuff. He's just downstate from me, I almost want to go down and shake his hand (laughs ;))

Edit: Another time I emailed a question about how to make a traditional Finnish scabbard. No purchase was involved here. He went out of his way to give me his best information and a couple of websites to look at (he now has a page devoted to Finn scabbards). This is a kind of service and salesmanship that is above and beyond the norm. He deserves our support :D

I will move this to FEEDBACK/GBU.

I have also had excellent service from Ragnar, not to mention the many times I've browsed his site for information on old Germanic culture, for example: runes.
 
I have ordered many-many times from Ragnar over the past 7 or 8 years, and every time, without any exception, he provided a super service:
- courteous, patient and competent communication;
- lightning fast shipping;
- great products;
- accomodation of special requests and/or custom modification, if possible.

You add to that the great website, which is highly educational and fun to browse, the great selection and the great prices, the availability of rare products and all this makes Ragnar a truly exceptional dealer-educator-fellow knife enthusiast.
