I honestly love that place...but as soon as I order something from there I want something else..just ordered a mora blank and a blade ferule (gonna take a stab at making my own handle) also got a 1200 grit diamond plate, and yet another mora #510..(there like expensive m&m's..can't have just 1) depending how this handle project works out my next order will be for the erikkson leuku blank, a mora 2000, and probably you guessed it a mora 510...I have to spread them out and put them on different credit cards so my wife doesn't get ticked off..but honestly all that stuff I just ordered only cost me around 30 bucks...can't be beat...Cheers to Ragnar.

Ragweed is my favorite internet store. "Expensive M&Ms" is exactly right. Except that, in addition to the M&Ms, I've also indulged in the Ghirardelli and the Godiva. Let's see, there's Mora, Ahti, Roselli, Helle and Wood Jewel. Lord give me strength! :D

been dealing w/ Ragnar for about 15 years, mostly in person as we attend the same medieval recreation events. sold me my first Scandi, a Helle Nying. then there was a Viking, a Fjellman, a Karesuando Johnni.....well you get the picture...wait i have a picture. :)

ragweed rules:thumbup: I do wish he would pick up the Hultafor line of Mora though.

i try to stay away from his website as much as possible - the temptation can be too great!

one of the cooler items i've gotten from there recently is the viking whetstone pendant - it's perfect for maintaining an edge in the field and it's pretty cool to wear too!

Thats pretty cool. Yet another thing i failed to notice at his website.
I might have to add one of those to my list when i place my order.

yep...I've been looking at those... if he sold paracord and firesteel blanks I'd be headed for divorce.

Yeah, lately I've been thinking of emailing and asking him to carry firesteel blanks. I haven't done it though.

The problem is, to get firesteel blanks I go to Bens Backwoods. TO get the Scandi knives I want, I go to Ragnar's. I'd rather just go to one (Ragnar's because he has the best selection of Moras) for everything but groceries ((( :D )))

Yeah, I'd definitely be giddy if he had those firesteel blanks, I'd love to get a few (with each order no less!). His selection really is great in general, let alone his awesome shipping and prices! Some basic gear like some milsurp pouches or rucks, paracord, the firesteel blanks, etc. would really allow for one stop shopping.

But me thinks he's done more than enough by sustaining all our addictions so thoroughly! And I wouldn't want anything detracting from a well maintained stock of scandi's. :D

Man - that is just not fair. How does one overcome such marketing prowess? Even my wife couldn't put up a defense against this one!

Are they too bulky/heavy to wear on your neck regularly in your opinion? I love unique necklaces/amulets but those look a little big to be wearing in your every day activities. Your thoughts?

i wear one with my viking clothing at medieval events. you could wear it every day with no problem.....

Hello guys, I'm a newbe on here and looking for some help please? I'm an amateur archaeologist, but currently at Bristol University in England studying archaeology. I'm looking for some help on the identification of a whetstone that was found at Berkeley Castle (our research excavation). To me it looks Viking and whilst doing a Google search I came across this thread, and it obviously grabbed my attention. Could you look at these pictures and see if you think like me that this whetstone is Viking please?

I'd be grateful for any advice or if someone could point me in the right direction to get in touch with an expert in this field of study? Many thanks, great site btw.
