Can't wait to get to the gathering. My mouth has been watering for some of Puleo's fried green tomatoes and grits. Damn they are good.

I hope the Mossberg and Remington users don't flame me, but I've got a Winchester 1300 defender, with 18" barrel, 8 shot tube, and surefire foregrip light that kicks ass in that role!! I'd bet my life on it...in fact, I do.

my first firearm was a win 1200 Ranger -- nothing wrong with the 1300.
not a fan of the tang safeties on Mossy's.

I like the win1300, I had one, really liked it, but my middle nephew liked it more...so he currently owns it LOL

Shot four snipes. that's why I needed so many shotguns..them durn snipes are fast and small!

The tang-safety is what I LIKE about the Mossbergs....but they are ridiculous in conjunction with an AR style stock. Then I would prefer a cross-bolt safety

17 next for me too. Right now, I'm pretty impressed with the 15 and 16. I had my hands on them a couple of years ago but didn't really do a lot with them. Better than I thought.
 
I'll bring ya a bucket of roofies then to take home.
 
There is just so much help on this forum. I'm overwhelmed by the outpouring of generosity and the spirit of camaraderie.
