The only thing about that setup is that slap straps weigh about half that setup and really aren't that expensive. I like to hike so equipment weight is always something to think about for me.

Got my severely ghetto handle on it...this thing throws like a dream! a nice solid ''WHOMP'' when it lands too...I freakin likes it!

I now really need a BK5..so I can ''antique'' it...that would be a killer old-skool woods combo! Or one of the Condor Hudson bay knives..
 
clich, if you have the time to work on your truck yourself, you may be able to find a tutorial.
I had to replace the intake manifold in my car last fall and saved a lot of money by doing it myself.
 
I use Eno Slap Strap pros for my setup and am perfectly happy with it. I actually pull my hammock so it's stretched straight out and after being in it for 10-15 minutes, it's just about perfect. They are a lot lighter to pack than a tow strap, but if I were just setting it up on a campsite, I might do that sort of thing.

I really need to pick a couple of those up. I've had them in the cart twice and didn't pull the trigger.
 
Just replace the junk hanging ropes and rings and it works well. I'm using the slap straps and a couple of Black Diamond caribiners. I just need to pick up a lightweight tarp and I'll have a whole backpacking sleep system that weighs less than 1/3 of my current tent and takes up about 1/2 the space.
 
Just got home from a work meeting, that company wants me to come to work for them. We'll see, I don't really want to work for them though. Unless they get this one contract.
