''That's what''

Oh...i get it. That's been bugging the hell out of me all day! I'm an idiot.

went out and tried the Aranyic ''war sword'' on some unsuspecting trees/shrubs/landscaping timbers. Im teaching my youngest nephew some knife/chopping skills..he's the only one seems interested much in blades/bushcraft. he's getting better, slowly learning the advantages of a quick snap-cut over brute force.

The thing is a chopper....once it's properly sharpened it will be a true beast! Can snap-cut green limbs way bigger then a thumb 100% clean...I was quick-chopping a limb like I would a carrot....nothing left but lil 1/2''-1'' long chunks LOL

Got a new gun belt and a new mag holster. The belt cost $30 and is the stiffest, strongest belt ive ever had. Holds the holster right in its place and allows for quick draw with no movement.

Btw question for you guys that carry a hammer fire, you carry half cocked or fully cocked? I stretched the strap on the holster and I think I wanna carry it full cock with the leather strap in-between the hammer and firing pin. Like this:

What do you guys think? Its my first pistol and my first time carrying one regularly and the trigger pull difference between half cock and full is beyond night and day.

nice combo Clich...if the gun is designed to be safely carried cocked then by all means I would want it full cocked. I aint sure what model yours is exactly..but I wouldnt carry a 1911 any way but cocked&locked.

Cz75 BD, it doesn't have a safety since the decocker is the safety but really I think the leather strap will be the safety in this case. I tried getting the hammer to release and couldn't do it, so I think it will be fine but wanted to pick your brains first

is it a DA/SA or a SA only? For legal issues..I would say u carry it how the manual tells u to carry it LOL

I had a ruger DA/SA decocker only gun....I never felt comfortable carrying it cocked...I want a manual safety if the hammer is back. I carried it hammer down and trained with it enough to anticipate the trigger-pull difference between the 1st DA and 2nd SA shots

I carry my 75B cocked and locked, however it's a thumb-safety model.

What belt is that? I wouldn't mind picking up a leather one that looks a little nicer than the Ares Ranger belt I typically use.

To be honest this is gibberish lol

DA is Double Action, meaning the gun will fire with hammer down, SA is Single Action, meaning the hammer must be cocked before the gun will fire.

DA/SA is Double Action to Single Action meaning the first shot will be be hammer down (uncocked) and each subsequent shots will be Single Action as the hammer is automatically cocked by the slide moving backwards as the empty is ejected.

DAO is Double Action Only meaning the hammer will not stay cocked..Each and Every shot will be a double action pull.

C_tanner is awesome....i sent him some scales for his potbelly and told him to just put anything in an envelope and mail it...he asked me what kind of stuff, and i said whatever i could use to build a second pack....i gave examples of paracord and a couple carabiners if he had it laying around....told him not to go all out as they were just scales....got a box in...holy crap...1 field towel, one fire making kit, havent opened it yet but it looks like vasoline soaked cotton disks and a mini bic in a round container, figure nine carabiner with some cordage, kydex pants for an 11 or 14 with carbiner attached, a whoopie sling for my hammock, and emergency blanket, about a 50' hank of paracord and a damn Mora FT511, which is crazy because i just gave my classic 2 to a buddy last week or so.

He went above and beyond...he will be getting a second package in the next few days.

Should I mount the sander like this or get it all the way to the edge of the bench?

I would mount it on the edge...so I could have some room to move long/unweildy items around in a full 360 arc if I needed to. but thats just me

Personally I would trim the strap a bit, then reinforce it with thread then it wouldn't be all mangled like that. But that is just me. I don't see any issue with carrying the pistol like that.

Its actually set like that. I heated and formed it so that it would fit. Long story. So even with the strap off its wrinkled like that. I don't care about looks, it functions well
