Rajah II

Lol.

It certainly doesn't cut through 420HC (that's what the knife I accidently wacked with it was made out of), but it does a good job opening letters and cutting shrubs.

Honestly, I probably wacked it pretty hard. I guess I'm lucky the damage was so minimal.

Well to be fair, steel against steel is not going to be a good thing.

This is my EDC hiking and everywhere its legal at knife...excellent for draw cuts, pulls out open, faster than an auto with practice, utterly intimidating, just a great all arounder...penalty is the usual weight, its a conversation piece too.

Well, I've carried this thing for 2.5 days now, chipped it, sharpened it, butchered some plants and boxes, leveled the backyard, and sharpened it again. I think I'm in love.

For the past decade or so I've kept my right hand empty as much as possible when out with my family since that's my dominant hand and the one I use to draw my pistol and knives. I've been carrying this in my left pocket and I no longer feel the need to keep a particular hand free. The wave on the Rajah works flawlessly, and the ergonomics are great for either hand. With a bit of practice (which is how i chipped it) I'm able to draw the Rajah just as well with either hand, and it draws into a strong chopping grasp, which should make it quick to deploy if (god forbid) it was ever necessary. My employer says the only weapon I can carry at work is a pocket knife. These days that's just fine by me :D

Besides the capability as a weapon, this thing is a sturdy tool. I don't think I'll run into any "gosh, this job would be so much easier If I only had a machete with me" moments when carrying this thing. I hate not having a machete when you need it. :D
