Greetings to all! I have a new tribute to the iconic Alaska Skinner (Model 11) style up today. Hope you like it!
Steel is 1/8” x 13/8” in NitroV with HT at 60/61. Hand sanded to 600 grit for a fine satin finish. The edge was under .010” before sharpening.
Dimensions: 8 7/8” OAL, Tip to bolster: 4 1/2” with a 3 5/8” cutting edge
It has a Black Canvas Micarta and Dyed Leather handle with a brass guard and pommel with red G10 and brass spacers. The handle feels great in my average sized hand with plenty of room for larger paws. It is oiled and waxed.
