Holy heck C Bryant, that collection makes me salivate. Those are some awesome knives (and axes)!

enviously yours,

- Mike

My turn. Sorry for the washed out pics. It has been raining on and off so I ran outside to take the pics when it stopped and then the sun started to come out and ruin the good light. Ah well.

SANDBAGGER!! :grumpy:
Way to play C. Sit on that trump card 'til the end.

:D:p Incredible collection you have there  I'm a bit green.

Chris

Thanks guys, I never was actually trying to have a "collection" it just kind of happened. I began researching how to forge knives a little while back and I discovered great makers and couldn't hlep myself, sold off most of my production run of the mill type knives shortly after and ended up with these. I just wish I had the time to really use them all as much as they should be used!

20 minutes :)

I agree! That's a cool group of blades for sure.

When you get a chance, could you post another pic of the knife to the right of that red-handled DP knife? It looks really cool!

Rocketbomb I love that first pic of yours. What kind of tree is that anyway??? I'd hate to bump into one of those...especially loaded with a bunch of those breendens.

PB Wilson: Here are the pics of the knife you asked for. I'm not a huge fan of hidden tang blades, but this one is the exception. It was made by Jim Hrisoulas of Salamander Armoury. His website is www dot atar dot com. He is in Henderson NV which is just a few hours from here. His mainly makes midevil type blades and armour. He has also written a few books on knife making, fantastic books.

man.. that is a cool looking knife... i'm also not much of a hidden tang fan, but i would take that one anyday...:D i really like the blade shape... it definitely still as some-what of a midevil flare to it...

BTW--- I HAVE A WILL CRUMP KNIFE COMING SOON....:D:D

Man, that one is beautiful. I am a big fan of hidden tang knives. Thats sweet!

Thanks for posting those pics of that Hrisoulas blade. I think it's really elegant and just perfeectly appointed. It just looks "right" if you know what I mean. Wow. Thanks for the info too.

C Bryant, I have no idea what kind of tree it is but there are a lot of them at a particular place I hike frequently and they are all terrifying! It's all I can do to walk up to one and balance a knife in one for a picture or two. It's especially scary when you realize the LiCK in the first picture is 10 inches overall. Those spikes are not tiny!

If that tree was around here, I would say it's Honey Locust (Gleditsia triacanthos), but I don't know what grows in your area.

Doc

I think you're right Doc, looked it up and everything I see looks exactly like a Honey locust. Thanks for identifying that!

I polished the blade of an old Cold Steel SRK... came out pretty nicely :)
