When I grow up... I'm gonna be ground from 0-1 or 5160, I'm gonna be convexed by Siguy, and wear pants made by Ilbruche.. When I grow up....

You are basically confirming what i suspected about the Rifleman's hawk.
I love the look of it and i almost bought one instead of the Trailhawk.
But then i looked at the weight listed and went with the Trailhawk.
I'm just finishing modding my Trailhawk, i'll have to post some pics soon!

Been really tempted to special order one of those Grohmann Large Skinners in flat ground carbon steel.
I've been on a carbon steel kick lately!

I'm going on a knife buying sabbatical soon, i'm currently choosing my 3 last pre-sabbatical purchases. I know for sure i'm going to get A Buck Vantage Pro S30V, the other two choices are up in the air.
The pics in this thread are giving me ideas though!
:D

I know man, this site is horrible!:D

mneedham, Great collection bro!

Is that a Ranger knife with an Ironwood Handle you have in that Ilbruche sheath?

Sweet!

So many good-looking "user" knives! Why did I click on this thread? :grumpy:

Very fun thread. I will play too.

May I ask what the 2nd knife from the left is? Looks handy.

Made by Dmitry M. here on BF.
Specs: Blade is made of A2 tool steel, ~59HRC, cryo treated. 4" long, 1-3/16" wide and 1/4" thick at the bolster, tapered to the tip. Flat ground, satin finish with 1200grit.
Handle is walnut, treated with linseed oil and tung oil. Bolster is my own mosaic with nickel silver and sterling silver. The handle is 4-1/2" long and sculpted. Hidden tang.
The sheath is hand made and wet fitted. It has belt loops for vertical or horizontal carry. Treated with balm and carnauba wax.

A dream to hold and use.

Rupestris - I like the re-grind you've done on those two Bucks. Very cool - they look much more useful now.

Rockywolf - What's the green handled one in your top photo?
Thanks, Dutch

Grimlim made by BGoode here on BF. Sharp and very well made!

Tony,

Yep, it is, the grips are actually not Ironwood, Ilbruche had picked a different grip material ... Sorry about the crappy pics.

Thanks Dutch but I didn't do anything to those. Buck re-designed their Diamondback knives a year ago or so. Those two are the original design. The new Diamondbacks have more of a hump-back with more drop to the point.

All I've done to those are use and sharpen .;)

Mneedham! Its been a while since I've seen that Nessie. I guess its been a while since I made a batch of them. The hammered sheath too. Haven't seen one of those in a while.

Thanks for posting it!

Mneedham - you have some gorgeous blades. But what the heck is that nice Barkie Bowie doing in a spec-ops sheath?????

Andy,

I love this knife! It gets used in our kitchen quite a bit, a sure sign of a practical knife.. The hammered sheath rocks.. I expected the knife to be special, the sheath was a real bonus.. Thanks again....

Its a practical thing... I found the sheath that the Rogue came with to be completely unusable... Love the Rogue though....

My turn. Sorry for the washed out pics. It has been raining on and off so I ran outside to take the pics when it stopped and then the sun started to come out and ruin the good light. Ah well.
