Random Group Shots

Tim, great group shot. I'm still loving that single blade sowbelly. The only thing that would make it even better would be some ebony or nice jigged bone covers, but that micarta is very attractive as well. A very close second is that yeller Erickson.

Atiger, that's a really fine collection of old Barlows. Stunning in fact.

Here are my Joseph Rodgers knives with their straight razor friends by the same maker:)

Thanks! One is some sort of nail cleaner tool and the other is a set of tweezers.

Thank you my friend, haha you and I both. I agree, I've certainly gotten more and more immersed in the beauty of natural cover materials lately.

Gevonovich my good friend- you took the words right outa my mouth !!!! Man those two guys blasted it with those groupings of STUNNING knives!

Thanks Duncan, only taking a leaf out of yours and many other's books.

Tim and Atiger

Wow...what a treat!! Either picture would make a fine desktop:D:thumbup:

Barry, some great knives in that pic!

On the bottom shelf and between the two folding hunters, what brand is the jack knife with the unusual shield?

navihawk, I should have been more clear. There are three jack knives between the two folding hunters. The jack knife in the middle has a shield I haven't seen before.

Al, the Shield is a saw - I am unsure of the collector series name - was it sawband? - Bandsaw? ...something along those lines my friend, but it represents an actual Saw.

That is an interesting shield.

Looks like a parapet or battlement from a castle wall. :D

It's a Simonds Hardware shield. The misery whip:D

Thanks Al & Gev; not Simonds Hardware, but Simonds Saw Co. contracted the shield. I've seen it on a couple other knives, one that I lost the bid on at that big auction site; I think it was a whittler or pen style knife. I found the large jack at a swap meet about 30 years ago.

That's a great arrangement you have there, Gunstockjack! I've never seen a Saw Blade shield before. Very nice!

I had all of my Case knives together, so I figured that I'd grab a shot of them. Lighting in this house isn't the greatest, and my cell phone doesn't help the situation. I've got another Peanut coming this week, too. (Thanks, Brett!)

Al, after further contemplation and research, I think the shield represents a planer blade, which is actually very similar looking.:)

It seems I started this thread in the springtime a ways back. A lot of things have happened since then & now.
This morning ,My wife put on a fleece & a flannel shirt for myself, funny looking wearing shorts still. Anyhow with the chill in the air, a reminder the good times. I went down got my deer license today.

I really like these knives , I thought I'd snap a picture.
