The heat treat on the steel on my Sebenza is honestly pretty lame. The very tip breaks off at the slightest provocation. I'm contemplating making a replacement blade for it.
CPK Folder Please.
This. With hole or flipper, please.CPK Folder Please.
While it is literally (as in literally) LITTERALY useless and reasonably worthless, it still has more value than fiat currency like the US dollar because (unlike the dollar) there isn't a limitless supply and there is a cost for "printing" more. Hell, most "dollars" they don't even bother to print anymore. It's also imaginary digital funny money except there's nothing stopping "them" from printing a limitless amount. It's not linked to anything. It's all bullshit. It's just made up. Viewed that way, bitcoin is probably a better currency than the dollar, but its current market cap is 3/4 of a trillion dollars. In comparison apparently there's 1.2 trillion dollars of US currency in circulation. It might be a little ove

I think I heard they're moving to Magnacut in the future? That's going to be a good improvement for an otherwise excellent knife.
Put me down for a flipper please.This. With hole or flipper, please.

That is what has kept me from the Sebenza for all these years. I keep hoping they move to a different steel or harden some of the blades up—looking at you Green Beret!I have sold every CRK folder I've owned because they won't hold an edge worth a damn.
Sorry. It's going to be a variation of our field knife.I can't wait for a CPK folder!!!!!! Please 3.75 cutting edge And a modified sheepsfoot blade (similar to the insingo)!!!!!!!
Please please please
just got off the phone with my buddy, Stuart. He just replaced the blade on his knockoff Sebenza- he was complaining about how bad edge holding was. I told him he was lucky he didn't spring for the real thing, since it probably wouldn't fare much better...View attachment 1746228

With a flipper?!Sorry. It's going to be a variation of our field knife.
I'll do a flipper on bearings at some point down the road, but I'm going to base my first production folder off of the Sebenza that I love so much. However the pivot, which is the weak point, will be integral to the frame. The folder won't be heavy or look over built or be bulky but it will be both very strong and durable (not the same thing) and tolerate the rough use and lack of love that I tend to dish out. Eliminating a lot of the joints and utilizing precision fits between components that aren't usually keyed will give me a very robust design. With a flipper?!![]()
