Finally got the truck I’ve wanted. Just brought her home! 2010 Ram Cummins, no DEF, EGR delete, studs, fuel pump, injectors, newer turbo, 5” turbo back, tuner running a pretty hot tune at the moment! New tires and wheels. HID headlight conversion. This thing is freaking badass! My son doesn’t help me either, dad, blow black smoke on people!! Hahahahaha fricking love it!

That probably isn’t a concern where he lives. You happen to live in one of the few counties in Virginia, the bluest of blue, that actually test for that shit. The rest of the state, in the counties that are as red as the necks of it’s inhabitants, we don’t get tested for emissions, vehicular, nocturnal or otherwise.

Sorry to hear that boss. I have to say I was a little skeptical when you ran down the list of things that had been replaced or upgraded. Folks do most of those things for one of two reasons in my opinion. Some of those listed are to make the truck last forever, in which case, the truck is rarely for sale until it has 300K on it or is rusted out. The others are to make it run like a scalded dog; they get sold still looking pretty good, but after the nuts are burnt off the dog's ass. When you mentioned a new turbo, new injectors and a hot tune, those are nut burners in my mind. Being that yours had those mods and still looked clean, I am betting the previous owner had some indication it was about to shit the bed and that's why it was brought in and traded/sold.

I suggest going down that road again. but find one that is pretty stock and make the mods you want yourself. You are a handy fella and I bet your son would love hopping up a smoke dragon with you.

That's the problem buying a modded vehicle... 9 times out of 10 you know it's had the snot beaten out of it
