...someone put a .99 cent no reserve auction for a K18 out on the bay....
I'm just curious to see what happens
My grandson started practice last week. Good times.Got the baseball fields cleaned up and raked, ready for t-ball to start next week!
When Nathan makes the knives and skeletonizes them for balance it is based on micarta. G10 weighs more and changes balance. Is it just me or is G10 not a common handle on Carothers knives in general?
I'm curious why it doesn't seem more popular, especially in sign up orders.
Somebody's a regular smartypants today, isn't he?When Nathan makes the knives and skeletonizes them for balance it is based on micarta. G10 weighs more and changes balance.
Micarta is “grippier”.
And finally, all the cool kids use micarta.
Same hardware ?I have 2 FK2s, one with micarta, and one with G10. The G10 handled FK2 weighs a full ounce more than the micarta one.
I was into micarta before G-10, but I like both quite a bit. They lend themselves to many different looks, polished and unpolished. If the color orange is offered, then G10 it isBut I’ll say I was never a micarta person until I started with CPKs.
Or it might be the gold Krugerrand that Nate put in there accidentally...For field-dressing animals, G10 won't absorb blood, while micarta is more porous.
And to answerferider , both of my FK2s have identical hardware, so the weight difference is entirely due to the different handle material.
