Is it just me or is G10 not a common handle on Carothers knives in general?

I'm curious why it doesn't seem more popular, especially in sign up orders.

When Nathan makes the knives and skeletonizes them for balance it is based on micarta. G10 weighs more and changes balance.
Micarta is “grippier”.
And finally, all the cool kids use micarta.

I have 2 FK2s, one with micarta, and one with G10. The G10 handled FK2 weighs a full ounce more than the micarta one.

I was into micarta before G-10, but I like both quite a bit. They lend themselves to many different looks, polished and unpolished.

For field-dressing animals, G10 won't absorb blood, while micarta is more porous.

And to answer ferider , both of my FK2s have identical hardware, so the weight difference is entirely due to the different handle material.
