Is it just me or is G10 not a common handle on Carothers knives in general?

I'm curious why it doesn't seem more popular, especially in sign up orders.
When Nathan makes the knives and skeletonizes them for balance it is based on micarta. G10 weighs more and changes balance.
Micarta is “grippier”.
And finally, all the cool kids use micarta.
