Random Thought Thread

Yeah, that's the other thing. This first folder is part of me paying my tuition. It's a lesson. But I don't need to increase the complexity of that lesson making a left-handed variation out of the gate.
I'm not suggesting that you do it, but it's interesting to think about a left handed version. In theory it is just a mirror image, but I guess the process can't simply be mirrored since your tools for example spin in a particular direction. Probably lots of little complications...

So here’s a random thought.
I got in on Fridays sale and I think I screwed up by not say “ In for a UF2” instead of just “ In”. I was just real excited to have gotten in that I didnt even realize there was another item for-sale ( K18). So If by not being specific about not wanting the sword I caused others to pass thinking it was gone , I appoligize. Im a NOOB in these parts with much to learn and It wont happen again.
By the way this place is pretty awesome and I hope to hang out some.

Don’t worry about the K18, it will find a buyer :)

Best case of beginner's luck ever.

Regarding watches, for the Fri sales, an atomic/radio watch is a must :)

On a more serious note, I keep breaking watches, not sure why ... maybe because of my motorcycle commute, my watches take in water at the latest when they need new batteries. I like the newer Japanese solar watches, never need opening.

Beautiful Seamaster, Blues Blues .... these are worth a fortune, but I’m sure you know already.

Hay Clay!

You shouldn't sweat it at all. If nothing else, anything that you can do to antagonize this lot of knuckleheads is probably of net benefit to society.

Welcome aboard

My favorite watch, given to me by my grandfather in 1961 before he passed away. It was his father's...purchased sometime after immigrating to the USA from Sicily.

Fonedork Fonedork

Maybe we're related.

My name was supposed to be Eric, but the woman who lived upstairs from us in Brooklyn had her baby first and named him Eric, so my mother decided that she had to find another name with an "E". My bad luck, because as a kid growing up watching cowboy shows on TV, I wanted to be named "Jake". 🤣

ETA: That watch was robbed from our apartment, (by some of my teenage criminal associates), back in the mid 60's. Not being religious, it was the only thing I ever owned that I prayed for its return. One of my sisters found it months later under a tree behind our apartment building where it must've been dropped by the miscreants. It's been back with me ever since.
