I'm a '92 vintage. I was technically taught cursive, but I think the teachers quit trying when they realized my printing was just as bad. I can read cursive if it's very neat and tidy - which is to say I can't read 98% of cursive.

Nathan, your signature is very clear and easy for me to read. Congrats, you're a 2%-er.

1978 and I hate cursive. Thanks to this bad boy I typed before I could write cursive. Unfortunately, I learned to hunt and peck and the instinct was and is so strong that in library school I ended up teaching myself how to type on a dvorak keyboard just so I could type without looking at the keys. I still use a dvorak keyboard and it annoys the hell out of my wife when she needs to use my computer.

I took typing in grade 10, and that one teacher, (Mr. Tan) made a more meaningful and positive impact on my communication skills than any of the scores of teachers who taught me cursive

I took French in grade 10, and that one teacher, (Mrs. Hassanzadeh) made a meaningful and positive impact on my communication skills .... she was something else :D
