I have to teach my kids to at least know how to write their name. It's going to be embarrassing when they need to sign an official document and they print their name like a little kid.

When you get up around my age, you'll have lost the ability to write in cursive so that either yourself or anyone else can make sense of it. Reading it is still doable if written by someone else.
