not there YET.

I feel like that would be fantastic way to end the awesome day that I had though.

Ate pork butt with my kids and uncles and cousins I haven't seen in a long time. The weather was awesome too.

Just finished a dip in the front yard blow up pool.

maybe the kids will join me next time instead of pointing and laughing at all the blood.
Need fiber too. Was there any salad tossing with that?

I always enjoy it when I recognize blades in a show that I’m watching. I was watching Chris Pratt in “The Terminal List”, on TV last night, and recognized a couple of Daniel Winkler Sayoc tomahawks on the character’s garage wall.

All the Winkler groups on Facebook have been frothing over the series for months (and predicting RnDs are going to double in price this year because of it).
Prices are up. Now if the K18 features in a movie, some of us here maybe able to retire.

Do you OGs remember when "they" were touting diesel as a cheap, economic alternative to gas?

Long time ago, I know, but that's not the case anymore.

I just "filled up" my F250 diesel which was only 1/4 tank down with only 16.5 gals of disel which cost about $115 @ $6.90/gal. Regular was selling for $5.80 and Premium $6.10. That's about a $1/gal price difference between diesel and gas. WTF!!!???

Thing is, my F250 has a 65 gallon fuel tank (that I installed) which means a full tank fill up would have cost about $460. Ouch!

I always top off my fuel tanks even if they are only 1/4/-1/2 down because I never know how far I'm going to drive when I leave my house and I don't want to bother filling up before I get on the road again but now I'm also doing it just to reduce the price shock at the pump. ;)

I’m to the point where it’s just eff it you know. Yeah it costs me a arm and a leg for diesel, well a kidney and some other organs now, but fuck it. I’ll never drive a electric car. Fortunately I don’t drive my truck unless we’re pulling the trailer somewhere nowadays.

That was before my time but I went to college with a girl who would put in a quarter at a time which was enough to make it to school and back if you drove a Honda Civic when gas was 0.89 a gallon.

My 1st real job was as a gas station attendant in the mid-60's when gas was 25 cents/gallon and guys would come in and ask for a $1's worth and would still expect me to clean their windshield and check their oil and tires.

Yeah, the "good old days." LOL!

Speaking of quarters...

I was 16 in ‘64, and had a ‘50 Ford.
My Dad had a burgeoning excavation co. One day he was fueling his truck and I pulled in. He generously put 5 gal. In my car, on his account. Well..in my mind that established a precedent. Now and then, I’d grab a splash, on him.
The end of the month rolled around, and I faced an enraged father!. The fuel bill for his co. was an outrageous $38!!
He continued to let me live at home, but I was on “double secret probation”!
As you said…the good old days!
