Sitting here at the gas station in my truck waiting for the only diesel pumps to open. One person's just parked there and went inside and has been in there for at least 5 minutes. The other is a man and his daughter with two vehicles who chose the one pump that has a diesel to fill up both vehicles.
The other pumps are pretty much empty.

My truck is as quiet as my ‘15 Chrysler 200 v6 was. At 36 years old I got over the loud exhaust thing a long while ago. That drives me crazy!!! And you notice how it’s always a Subaru too???
I’m not a coal roller, those are of the past. EPA is really cracking down on that and tuners right now. I’m 100% clean, no smoke, and quiet. I couldn’t do the cab drone while towing for hours, no thanks.
A couple of days ago I was waiting for the only diesel pump at our local gas station. The guy in front of me was in a diesel and pulling a long stock trailer. It was almost 100 degrees. After he filled his oversized tank he proceeded to go to all of the openings in the trailer and check on the animals. It was busy there and not a whole lot of room to pull out of the way so I waited patiently thinking it was probably needed to check on the animals in the heat. Then he went inside and was in there a while. But when he came out he came up to my window and gave me a big Gatorade and thanked me for being patient. I came away with a very positive feeling about the experience as opposed to being annoyed.View attachment 1919331

I wonder why voice to text always seems to want to put a dollar sign in front of a number. 1800 RPM.
I just dug up the card and it’s 63-64. Factory edge and I stropped it when I got it but not since. Will have to see how well it responds to a strop.Just curious, is yours 62 RC, or 63-64 RC? I read that they initially came out in 62 RC, and they changed to 63-64 Rc.
I have the same problem at the station I get E85 .... the people can get regular gas at the pump and always go inside to cash in/ buy lottery tickets for 15 to 20 minutes.........View attachment 1919331

My pants moved when you said 86 grand national!Nothing beats a ol’ 7.3 PS for reliability. Had 2 of em in my late teens-20’s. I bought em because my father had them when I was young. OBS fords are what a truck should look like IMO. Now I drive a 2019 Silverado w/ a 5.3. Only thing that sucked about the 7.3 is it couldn’t get out of its own damn way, otherwise best motor I ever had the pleasure of owning. Side note: also owned a ‘76 corvette, 1965 Pontiac GTO tripower, and a 1986 Buick Grand National.
It was an awesome car, but the reliability was garbage. The ‘65 GTO wasn’t that reliable either, but super easy to work on if it had a minor issue. My pants moved when you said 86 grand national!
I've talked to a few people who have done the newer gen 3.8 swap in grannies , they said it was kind of a pain but it made the car betterIt was an awesome car, but the reliability was garbage. The ‘65 GTO wasn’t that reliable either, but super easy to work on if it had a minor issue.
We had one as an unmarked vehicle in our fleet. It was assigned to a buddy of mine and I had a blast taking it out in the Everglades to see what it could do.My pants moved when you said 86 grand national!

I’ve heard that as well, I feel that the heart and soul of that car is the 3.8 Turbo. Once you remove that from the equation, the car won’t be the same. Mine only had light modifications. It was a true G80 code Grand National.I've talked to a few people who have done the newer gen 3.8 swap in grannies , they said it was kind of a pain but it made the car better
