Went to see Roger Waters last night.(Christmas gift from my sister)Pink Floyd
Really good show and music, but man, is he a bleeding heart liberal, and he makes no apologies for injecting it into his shows. I'll give him props for standing his ground.
It got a bit tiresome at times but still a great show. Glad it was free for me just the sme,LOL

Pink Floyd is my all time favorite rock group. It is sad that Roger Waters has permanently alienated his former bandmates and many fans with his incessant political rants. That is likely the reason that David Gilmour led Pink Floyd to continued success with later albums while Roger Waters solo work struggled to find an audience.

When I was in high school I went to the Pink Floyd Laser Light Show in Georgia. It was pretty cool. They projected all kinds of crazy animations, that went along with the music, with lasers on to the side of Stone Mountain.

Actually it was a big part of why they split up...direction of the band. Roger wanted to use it as a means of awareness so to speak, and everyone else wanted to rock!
Australian Pink Floyd is also very good. They bought a lot of the bands stuff for the show from them and are still using it.
Amd yeah, my all time fav band also. Trivia question, where does the pink floyd name come from? no googling!!

I’ve heard that as well, I feel that the heart and soul of that car is the 3.8 Turbo. Once you remove that from the equation, the car won’t be the same. Mine only had light modifications. It was a true G80 code Grand National.

I agree with you on the 3.8 I owned three 1987 GNs over time all t-top cars. First one was bone stock bought it with 9,000 miles on the clock. Car two had 38,000 miles, it had some mods , enough to run high 11’s low 12’s consistently. Car three I took to far with mods, what a temperamental PIA it became lol. But low to mid 10’s with a six cylinder 😊😳🤬 Car three I was driving on a hot humid summer day. I went to go through an intersection about to go onto highway. The car hiccuped , kinda lost power (HP) then under partial throttle trying to go , it boosted. Blew the built rear gears to pieces 🤣🤬 Went with a 9” after that and sold it.
Wish I’d kept car one , but the others not so much lol.
Biggest thing I disliked was the brace accumulator valve. They broke just looking at them lol. Car two and three I removed the power master brake system altogether much nicer 👍

When I look at things like road rage and brake checking etc. I try to look at it from an analytical point of view. How does this profit me? What good will come from it? I'm of the mind that, in general, you shouldn't threaten people or make them feel uncomfortable, because eventually you're going to come across one of those people that you shouldn't do that to. And the flip side of that is, if you're going to harm somebody, you shouldn't advertise it in advance.
Ever since my son was born it really changed how I approach things. It's not worth putting myself or my family into a potentially dangerous situation just to satiate my caveman brain.

1994 (sans Waters; Division Bell tour). RFK. Stoked out of my mind; not in my wildest teenage hippie fantasies did I ever remotely imagine I'd have the opportunity to see Pink Floyd live. Camped out for tickets when they went on sale. Attended both shows. An, er, thoroughly psychedelic experience ;) The lasers were awesome. Everything was awesome. I get goosebumps thinking about the awesomeness right now.

Nice. I have used a variety of folders, fixed, and machetes on all sorts of them. If it's really green and young its much easier for sure.

How did your Umnumzaan do? Did you use it to crack open the nut too?
Umnumzaan did fine. It's the tanto model so maybe that helped. I jabbed it in the top and cut and pried it open to get some liquid and white parts out. Also, I don't like coconut.

The top cap can be opened with any knife. To cut the fibers and expose the whole nut takes some effort. There is a technique to open the nut that's pretty easy afterwards using the spine.

Wow...an afternoon of nostalgia, and a rare moment of appreciation for DC. Listening to an audience recording of the 7/10/94 show someone posted on Youtube. Went digging and found these. Good times! 😍

(Knife content: At this point in my life I had a couple of those magazine ad mail order "survival knives" with the hollow handle/compass/crap in it in camo and black, and a few Bucks: a folder and a small fixed blade 🙃)
