He is left handed so I did some side finger wells on the other side. It is still thicker than i would like but to maintain the pattern i couldnt go thinner. I added the wells and it felt better in my left hand than right. Thanks though. The rest of the family liked it. My dad has yet to see it.

Made this for my dads birthday today. it is a big rig leaf spring steel with homemade mycarta with copper tube drill bit mosaic pins. hope he likes it.

What do yall think? Anything that stands out that could be better? Let me know.


Either the stock is relatively thin, or the primary grinds are relatively obtuse. But the grinds don't go up the blade very high.

Obtuse primaries are durable but don't cut as well. They absolutely need to be under 10° per side, preferably under 7, and often under 5 and occasionally under 4.
