Very glad that the CPK kids are not injured and all seems to be OK since an ambulance is not to been seen on that accident scene. I am sure that the kids will experience some whiplash plus lingering psychological aftermath of this accident.

Events like this can act as an impetus for expanded business offerings, for instance, will the Shiv preorder be extended to 500 from ~ 300? Will Nathan consider allowing max number to go from 3 to 4? Will NTM offer 50% discount on a second horizontal satin finish when one is ordered at 100% of the said price? Lastly, will Nathan just say fudge it and go straight for an Integral Shiv/Dagger preorder?

There is still time ya know!

I’m sorry Elliott. Same boat here. Had 15 years with this guy until recently.

The pain of their loss is the price we pay for their love and affection.

"Smoky" left us in July of 2013. It was like losing an arm. We rescued "Skyler", (or vice versa), in October, 2013. She'll have been with us 9 years later this month.

I can only imagine how hard it's been, Darren, for your recent loss. Smoky was with us for just under eight years. You had twice as long. I don't know if that's twice as much pain, but it sure doesn't make it easier. Handsome dog, brother. Wishing you better days ahead, my friend.

It's always heart-breaking when it happens. Count your blessings when you can be with them when they leave. Of the four dogs we lost during the last 12 years, Thor, a Dane, died while we were traveling. Last year, I was not allowed into the vet's office (COVID rules) while my girl Frya died on their table. Not fair. The other two, I was with them, makes it a little easier to cope, I feel.

We’ve had two that lived over 14-15 years. It hurt bad enough we vowed not to go through it again. We don’t miss house training or having to find someone to watch him when we go out of town, but both of us miss having a dog around…… it’s definitely a gut punch.

I didn't think I could do it again after losing Smoky, but after three months my wife was ready and I relented. I don't know if I'd want to do it again when Skyler's time comes...but time will tell.

It's hard. That I know.

On a happier note, it's fun to find one of your EDC/BF pictures in a magazine :)

Nice, Roland. Can I have your autograph? Nah...that's asking too much. Just send me a couple of CPKs...that'll do it. 🤣

(I was interviewed years ago in connection with a "Knife World" article. I had to go into hiding. The women were all over me wherever I went.)
