Random Thought Thread

It's VERY hard for me to not pre-order another Behemoth Chopper (or two)....

So far, up to 65 orders in the first 50 posts. It will surely hit 100 by tomorrow sometime or maybe even tonight. Nathan said he would close the orders at 100 if it happened to go that far. I wouldn't wait.

IIRC, he had stated that he’d keep it open as long as all goes by smoothly and that he will reach out to a sheath maker if the preorder numbers hit 100 and go over that marker.

So much for, “it’s a large and pricey knife so I don’t see a huge demand”.

@mr2blue

Just FYI you can still edit your original post in the 12" BC preorder list thread without adding new posts. Here's an excerpt from Nathan's OP in that thread:

When you place your order it will sit on the order thread for a day or more before we process it. In that time frame you can change your order. So, if you wake up and decide you want one instead of two, or you want micarta instead of TT you can edit your post.

Nathan usually requests that folks refrain from chatting type posts on his preorder sale threads. Thanks man.

Let us know when he hits 100!

I count 75 as of this post, if my mat(h) is correct ;)

Not too shabby for a HUGE 1/2 G$ knife on a New Year's eve weekend :eek:

Grog was going to start a pool thread which he didn't but if he had, we would've both lost! I had predicted 75 in the first day and he had pegged it at 77. IIRC, it was up to 67-68 on its first day. I predict 100 after all said and done by Tuesday Jan 2nd, unless Nathan cheats and closes too soon in order to dodge the potential kydex sheath issue :D

Decided it might not be a good business move to throw down a half grand for the BC then a wait.....since I still have money tied up in the edc2 that I do not have. Always been more comfortable with down payment, then the rest once you start the job. Not sure if its the behemoth blade on this "knife", or double prepay that scares me most

That blade is HUGE!

Don’t put your money down if you are not comfortable putting it down and forgetting about it. Nathan has always delivered in a reasonable time. All of us that ask for these pre-orders very much appreciate them.

Nathan says there will be a wait and always remember possibly Friday sales where people will get one before yours arrives. No refunds and no sympathy around here!
