Random Thought Thread

I am posting in random to see if I have the ability to post at all. I am looking forward to the sale of the edc2 tomorrow.

Just make sure that your posts are not subject to a moderator's approval first, because of your lack of past postings. Wishing you luck too.

Thank you for the heads up. Could you tell me how to confirm that my posts are not subject to mod approval?

Not a random thought per se, but a not-so-random musing!

10 more EDC-2 units from the preorder list were shipped out on 12/28. Guess as to who is gonna be next in line first? :D

If you post and then the post shows right away, it's safe to assume that you're not being moderated. Normally they used to do that with brand new posters for a variety of reasons. I'm no saying that you're definitely good to go as I'm in no way, shape or form affiliated with this Site, but it appears that you're not being moderated.

I get you now. Thank you for your response.
I have been a member since 2014, I just don't post. Needed an account to read some threads.

Thanks for the luck!

Just a reminder, that is an established pattern now (not a specialty variation or new release) so it will be for sale out on the main "For Sale: Fixed Blades" forum here: https://www.bladeforums.com/forums/for-sale-fixed-blades.754

We do new patterns, prototypes, special releases and pre-orders from the CPK forum. We did so much of that this year that folks might have forgotten we actually still sell our work in the main area when we can.

I can not stand freezing rain, that's my redline!!! While living in the U.K. many moons ago, I had a brief stint up north in Scotland where I recall the freezing rain used to hit me in the face like ice-picks falling from the sky at a 45 degree angle. It was about then when I decided that I've had enough of this sh*t and needed to move to the beautiful Cali (I must also admit that the TV series Baywatch aka Babewatch which debuted in 1989 was also a fantastical motivator because I got my sh*t together and moved over in 1990 :D )

Fast forwarding 27 years later, I still can not stand the friggin icy rain! In fact, I regret my land purchase in the outskirts of Crescent City because that place is also damp, wet and well WET!!! I much prefer the arid and dry high desert climate to the high precipitation climate of the northern West Coast to the beautiful PNW. I certainly appreciate the natural beauty of those regions but abhor being wet! I think I'm gonna check out New Mexico for retirement. Santa Fe, NM looks like a pretty neat place albeit inhabited with a few of whackos and weirdos. I should fit right in :D

Arc'teryx Bro. Arc'teryx. In all seriousness, freezing rain is very, very rare here. Looks like we lost a tree to it though this isn't serious freezing rain at all, and that tree is 30+ years old. So that should give you an idea of how infrequent it really is. Plus in retirement, you are supposed to be sitting around relaxing most of the time. So on an ugly day, you just stay inside and relax. Play with some knives. Sip a tea. That's what I do. But I'm not retired.

Nah, I'm gonna be chasing those elusive and somewhat mythical desert roses in my retirement instead :P

Bob, I prefer to to open carry. Plus never cared for the Palm Desert area!

My 5K post made out to Bob's!!! :D

I wouldn’t doubt it for a second. Won’t be long before your pics are taken at some beach in Thailand, girl under each arm in a banana hammock with a CPK sticking out of a coconut.

Never been and never had the desire to visit far East Asia! I really don't dig tropical as I like deserts but not like the friggin Kalahari or some other African boondocks!

You will have to make some lifestyle sacrifices to reduce expenditures if you are going to keep up with CPK after retirement!
