Lipstick on a pig with this pulley and AC condenser clutch swap, but the Subaru lives to drive another day. (Exhaust needs some welding before winter). The condenser is “non-serviceable“ so even for a clutch issue, dealers and shops will quote to replace the whole unit at like $1000+ after labor. In the case of my wife’s Demon Forester the pulley bearing decided it wanted to come apart inside the other day.

Luckily R&Y AC Compressors makes clutch kits with the clutch, pulley unit, magnet and new clips and spacers for the clutch air gap adjustment. Cost me $105 shipped and about an hour and a half this morning. Now I can go camping this weekend and not worry about it!

And I did watch a YT video as a reference. The spring clips inside the shaft are a bitch!
