Random Thought Thread

The way I look at the BC is that it's an investment, as is all of Nathan's work! His attention too detail and quality has a special place with most of the members of my family. Grandchilden have not had their chance to experience it yet, but will in a few years when they inherent them.

I "liked" the post for your opinion about Nathan's excellent work, NOT for your insinuated plans to join the Mothership in a few years! ;)

This is why I'm not on the BC preorder. I'm saving up for this. At 45+ years old, maybe I should just get the BC.

I bought a bike at about 45. The last bike before that was when I was in the USAF in 1964. I had 2 road bikes* before I bought a Trek mtn. bike. I road it until I wrecked my back and couldn't ride anymore. I enjoyed riding off road and it was good exercise.

*I got tired of fixing flats.

Does this mean I should get the BC because a bike will result in me hurting my back?
Part of me is trying to read it that way.

The Spetsnaz do a lot of weird stuff, but I doubt that any military uses parkour. The typical obstacle course is planned and you know in advance what you are supposed to do.
Ahh ok.
I wasn’t sure if this was something new that was being implemented.
I always thought our military’s ways were to go over it or blow a hole through it!

I had it narrowed down to the socal flyer or floval flyer. I wrote an email to the website asking if either would be appropriate for an adult my size? Todd Lyons wrote back suggesting the blocks flyer.
That’s pretty damn cool!
I’m guessing you’re above the 5’ 10” range then.

5'11" - plus thirty pounds heavier then the 80's when I was rockin' my redline. Never did big air like you. I was in the city so pretty small tracks/jumps and a lot of freestylin'. I just miss being able to hop stuff. The mountain bike isn't as much fun to ride into town or to the bar.

That 26er should be a great bike then. My jumping days are long gone so something like that Block Flyer would be perfect. Just as easy as a beachcruiser but way more fun and better looking.

I wonder if there are any cool composite or mag wheels for those. Probably cost a small fortune though.

WTF is a KBAI? Is that cool way of saying: OK, Bye?!

Happy New Year to all you CPK-hooligans :)

I had to look. OK Bye is right. It's also the call letters of a radio station in Bellingham WA. The things you learn on Blade Forums. :p

Happy New Year.

Happy New Year, CPK!!!!
It was the weight of the Behemoth Chopper that got to me. Like Nathan said, "It's a BIG DAMN KNIFE!", and I could feel it's full weight on my thoughts. Crushing other wants and needs from my mind. So heavy on my soul, it tormented even my sleep.

I folded. I'm on the preorder. Time to sell a few folders. I've got a couple months before I'll need that bike anyhow!

Now to inform the wife of my weak disposition.
