I just finished watching the movie "Fall". If you have any kind of fear of heights, this movie will get to you. I don't have a great fear of heights (maybe 5 out of 10?) but I still found myself with sweaty palms and not able to watch a few seconds here and there. Yeah, that's weak sauce, I know.
Gravity (with Sandra Bullock and George Clooney) was the same for me.

😊👍

I really like the stuff. I have refinished a couple tables with it, worked great. I’ve treated a few of my CPK’s with it, steel and micarta, came out nice.
Thanks for the tip. Looks like interesting stuff. I'll have to try some.

And on this day, thy blade was named so - the Bad Judgement Bowie.
Of course. The Carothers Performance Knives Bad Judgement. Destined to become required by all Collectors of Carothers Knives.
(Oh dear. I'm being pulled to the dark side! aaaaaaaaaaaa 🤪😋)

I responded "angry," but I have to admit I'm also laughing my tuckus off! Effing precious! Such a sweet, loyal puppy love! 🥰

Thank you, Blues. Much appreciated.

We are heading home tomorrow. We spent some time on Okracoke island, in Charolette, Ashville, and of course Mooresville. Did a bit of hiking off of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Enjoyed all of it. Man, this time of year, the foliage is gorgeous! Great and friendly people, all around.

Right on! Growing up, I spent summers on the Outer Banks. Spent a lot of time on and around the Parkway/Skyline Drive. Good times! My favorite place on the planet is near Asheville: the short figure 8 trail through the old growth at the Joyce Kilmer / Slickrock wilderness by Lake Santeetlah and Nantahala National Forest. I highly recommend anyone who goes near there checks it out! And Deals Gap / Dragon's Tail is right there, if you're into windy mountain roads.

Buncha wild animals
Raawwwrrr! Naw, really just a not-too-bright domestic animal...

Even eight years later and being much better traveled my impromptu three day trip to Ocracoke is one of my favorites.

Joyce Kilmer is great. Some of those giant poplars are impressive.

First time I took my wife on the motorcycle, (two up), through Deal's Gap (Tail of the Dragon) was in the wake of Hurricane Opal some years back. My wife was nervous about the road conditions, seeing that there was much debris from the hurricane.

Anyway, we finished a ride and when I stopped a little while later, I asked her what she thought of it. She said she thought it was fun. I told her that she had just run the Tail of the Dragon. (For which I got a smack on the back of the helmet and a nice laugh.)

Happy Halloween, all.

Abby is having a Halloween party. I found an infrasound and subsonic sound scape generator on the internet and I'm hooking up the big Klipschorns right now.

When they're playing with the Ouija board I'm going to flicker the lights and turn on some (inaudible) sound that will subtly shake the house
