Random Thought Thread

I just saw like 8 deer
Funny story....

I lived in the city most of my life....

My wife and i purchased house in the out skirts of Toledo where deer are heavy... I've never seen so many in my life

Within a couple of months living here I came home late one the night from work.... i was fumbling with my door key and looked up before I got to my door..... there was an 8 point buck on my porch in front of my house door mean mugging me....I froze in shock and did what any person raised in the city would do....I hit the panick button on my truck.......and as my lights flashed and my horn honked that deer looked me straight in my eyes letting me know I was his bitch and walked away slowly

For sale- 10 Carothers Performance Knives Boot Dagger Sheaths.

These rugged, weather resistant sheaths, made from 9oz premium veg tan leather- hot waxed in house- are precisely fit* for the limited edition CPK Boot Dagger.
They are hand stitched with .5mm round, waxed polyester thread and guaranteed to last!
Included with each sheath is a Discreet Carry Concepts Model 3.1 clip, designed specifically for knife sheaths, and black oxide treated steel Chicago screws.

You will likely not find a more svelte or symmetrical leather sheath for this particular knife.
These sheaths are very low profile and extremely comfortable to carry.
The weight is very close to a sheath made from kydex, but have a warm feel that can't be beat. Retention of these sheaths is also comparable to kydex, allowing a smooth and fast draw while giving peace of mind that the knife will not fall out on its own.
You can store the knife in the sheath without fear of staining or rust, (provided it's dry and you haven't gotten any schmutz in there).

The price for one sheath is $165usd, plus $25 expedited shipping to the USA, via Paypal Goods and Services, (for your protection).
If you'd like more than one, subsequent sheaths will be available for 10% off, (limit 3 in total) and no additional shipping cost.

Each is numbered, not only because of variations in hide, but also thread colour.

Please PM me, or post here, if you are interested.

Thanks for looking!

*These sheaths may not fit properly if your dagger has a non standard handle
This post was almost as a$$407e-ish as Grenock Grenock ”s post in the dead Friday thread.

Your first word should have been “Sheaths”. You can’t post in the BST thread and start with “For sale- 10 Carothers Performance Knives Boot…”

My neighbor (in his early 90s, spends all day doing yardwork) came over and told my wife there was a coyote in his yard that wouldn't back down even after he charged it on his riding mower three times. I guess it finally got bored and wandered off but it's extremely unusual one would be out in the midafternoon and not be people-shy.

Could be rabid. Not saying it is, but some of that unusual behavior can be symptomatic...

When I see them around here during the day, it's usually running across one property to another.

I had that exact thought....we have them around here all the time but they are mostly heard at night and not seen and when they are seen during the day it's generally fleeting, not confrontational

This is Rufus, wearing his winter coat last February while trying to scratch up bird seed below one of our feeders. He's the alpha male of the pack that lives in the valley between our lower meadow and the mountain peak to our west. Rufus is about the same size as our 65 pound Black Mouth Cur. Which means he has alot of Eastern Wolf genetics on board. He's a calm, reliable visitor any time of day, year round, and though all the much smaller members of the group (25 to 30 pounds, max) are skittish, he isn't shy. We have a ton of deer here, and Rufus & Co. make short work of any and all that are sick or old. He and his pack also get treated with 12-week Bravecto, wrapped in hamburger, every January/February so mange doesn't kill that Spring's pups. It's quite the challenge getting one dose to each pack member, but we've gotten it done 3 years running. In exchange, they sing for us several nights a week. Good dog, Rufus !

As a rule, I generally try not to pay any attention to Grenock Grenock , in the same way that you don't look a bear in the eye, so I'm not sure what you're referring to.
But, I fixed the post and I hope you're now satisfied with it😄
