  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Why is that?
they just dont really matter in the long run.

the result of a bunch of dudes bashing each others brains in to move a thing to the other side of a field to score more goals than the other group trying to do the same but more times wont make my week any better or easier. so I just give it as little energy and attention as possible.

After promising myself I wouldnt care anymore and being really solid about it for a while now, I found myself watching the Minnesota Vikings play today and had to talk myself down late in the game.

TOTAL RELAPSE

it's that kind of state that i like to try and avoid. ''getting upset and worked up over stuff that doesn't, in the loooooong run, affect me or my family.

🤷‍♂️😎

I'm doing okay. The sore throat was a bitch overnight. Not much at the moment.

Wife is hanging in. I haven't tested her yet...but she feels like she's getting a cold...so I suspect I'll be testing soon.

I'll be happy to put this episode in the rear view mirror.

I hope your wife doesn't get it, but if she does I hope it's minor

Any other symptoms for you other than your throat?

Admittedly, I am not too up on BladeSports but I watched that Jimislash video that someone posted in that chopper thread and I was thinking, "Damn, I don't think that conveys the awesomeness that the film crew thinks it does." Then I saw the video of Ben and Jo that John and Nathan posted and then thought, "Oh, that's why."

There's competitors, then there's influencers. Not a stretch to see who's who.

If someone told me I chop like a woman, I would consider it a compliment 😁
They both made it look easy and I’m pretty sure it ain’t.

I don't know who Jimislash is but I'm sure he's a cool fellow. And I'm glad that a manufacturer is taking some interest in Blade sports.

From my perspective, that video was kind of not fantastic. For example, his water bottle cut simply knocked over most of the water bottles and that's not what that should look like. I'm thinking that the people making the knife and doing the cut and making the video are not familiar with the sport yet but, you've got to start somewhere. But the video was kind of cringe.

I'm glad to have some people getting into the sport. I don't want to say anything too negative about their effort. I do think the fellow having a fit about his design being used without giving him credit is wrong. Simply because, I can see it's a different design. And the people that don't see the difference, well, they're the sort of people that don't recognize that the cut in the video was not very good.

And, both sides of that argument are talking about using 3V for a competition knife.

*sigh*

... They'll figure it out eventually.

Well it sure looks like a fun event. If the training/certification to compete and some events were up here, I would try it. I also know who’s blade I would want to use!
