to lift sonething heavy or not to lift something heavy

Remember, lift with your back, not with your knees. You don't want to wear out your knees

Bend straight over with the lower back and then give it a good snatch. If you're having trouble lifting, try rocking your hips back and forth and giving a little twist to help you lift the weight. Hunch your shoulders forward and let your neck do some of the work.

Edit: this is a joke. Do not lift like that.

Would an actual member of this forum list a CPK knife on another site for more than 200% original price on a currently available pattern?
I mean, I get putting out feelers. Testing the waters. But after a month or more with no nibbles why keep relisting without changes.
To each their own.

OK, my post above was an answer to Nathan before Cap'n so rudely interrupted the lineage!

But I think I know what the good Cap'n is referring to so here's the story:

First off, not my knife but I have some insight because I went through the same thing a few years ago! An intl. buyer bought that but it got confiscated by the outbound Intl. customs in KY. The big auction site pays the Intl. buyer and tells the seller to keep the funds so no one is out of any $. Thereafter the confiscated item (in this case the SDFK) ends up with some liquidation service in MI who copies the same original listing verbatim and tries to get the same amount of $ which it was originally sold for. I have no idea what they pay for these confiscated items but I do know that they are not a charitable liquidation entity. Selling on that site using their GSP can be very tricky ending up in situations like this.

BTW, the outbound customs can and will confiscate many other seemingly innocuous merchandise like trading cards and golf clubs! Google-Fu that seller and you will find out but they are not the ones who brought directly from here on Nathan's site.

Good to know. I won’t feel bad lowballing next time I get a “10% discount” offer.

ETA: I didn’t respond to previous discount offers because I didn’t want to offend a possible forumite.

My research showed that they are a huge facility based in MI and that they handle liquidation on behalf of some of these giant online sellers including Bay but not just exclusive to them. That discount code which you get from Bay is a funny thing because sellers constantly receive messages from Bay informing that there are "eyes" on their items which encourages the seller to send discount coupons or certain percentages off.

you should have edited it sooner so I didnt think that you know absolutely nothing practical about lifting.

I did think that and then thought to myself how there couldnt possibly be any way that you've been THAT misinformed about lifting stuff.

I ended up being correct.
