Random Thought Thread

The other day someone posted some link to one of these Japanese inspired knives (pardon my ignorance, not meant as a shade, just that I don't know Japanese type knives!) and I saw retail price of $650 for a 5" BL. I thought to myself, dang! Even CPK's secondary market prices seem kinda low. Nathan's prices are like giveaways but I don't get out these quarters anymore much so I don't know the current knife market. I see pics of these fancy new Sebbies but I shudder to even check 'em out any more. Nathan, where are them darn folders boss?

I figured the Sebenza in MagnaCut @ 63-64 rockwell would serve as a worthy placeholder for the "soon to be, at some nebulous point only two weeks away" CPK folder...which will, no doubt, be worth waiting for by any stretch of the imagination.

So that's my reason. A new steel to put in my pocket, and to assuage my demons.

I admit that I really like that one which you managed to snag :thumbsup: Tell me the truth, did you pull your deposits out of SVB a couple/few days before the meltdown? 🤣
