Right?!

I grew up on a farm and I worked at neighboring farms as a teen. I also cycled everywhere, ran laps around my property, and lifted heavy. I was a machine and ate just about everything in sight.

Nowadays, I am not too bad off that I can't lift, do healthy amounts of cardio, and such. I am just finding that I am running out of gas and between my doc and all the tools that are available these days, I am finding that I am eating only a fraction of what my activities demand. Makes sense now but it's weird to be distressed by this discovery - that I am not eating enough.
dont forget the healthy fats. cholesterol is important too. I've heard of people being told to eat more because your brain short circuits without it. it's literally made of fatty tissues.

Had the same revelation when I was making zero progress trying to build muscle, and realized I was actually eating quite a but less than I thought.

Simple solution was to add a 1/2 stick of butter to my daily food. About 400 calories. Saw progress within just 3 weeks. Up to a whole stick of butter to my daily intake now. It's the easiest way to add calories, with a minimal bump in the volume/quantity of food I have to shove down my gullet.
That brings back a funny memory. In my early teens I wanted nothing more than to put on weight. I read that fat has 9 calories per gram vs about 4 for carbs and protein. My genius plan involved putting a big chunk of lard into a milkshake. Nearly barfed, couldn't choke it down. My mom got a kick out of it.

McCall Idaho. There's a restaurant named 'Lardo's.' Good place to eat, but I avoid the shakes........just in case.

My humble opinion is that with the exception of the CPK sales thread catchall alert, the Next Sale Thread only ought to be open to Nathan / Jo and the Mod(s). The sticky'd place got much better organize in terms of signal-to-noise-ratio when the set of those threads in that section got locked up after they served their purpose like the preorders or if it just for information/notification purposes without further discussions input. One downside could be that the people who are not regularly frequenting this sub will create redundant threads asking as to when and how to buy CPKs, but those threads, few and far in-between, will inevitably fall back to obscurity or get mod'ed. I think that restricting the Next Sale Thread will be much more beneficial than not. JMHO.

ETA: regarding getting new notifications for upcoming sales, Nathan can just make a new quick post for that reason instead of just updating the first post.

Has anyone else noticed that we have a "The NEXT SALE" thread here with 190+ pages and nearly 4000 posts . . . when it really only needs, and - according to the lastest rules for posting on it - really only should have, the very first post all by itself???
I do apologize I have I few in there I thought I was posting some where else lol
