I am no psychiatrist but music as a mood motivator may cause release of more dopamine as opposed to serotonin. I dunno know for sure though, Dr. Maximus may like to weigh in on this one.

ETA: unless it's Luther Vandross's. His music was def serotonin and yes, I'm dirt old!
Funnily enough, when I first got it, I would put Def Leppard's 'Hysteria' cassette on auto-repeat to fall asleep to 😅

That was also back when I could drink 7 cups of coffee and have no trouble falling asleep.

Liked Luther Vandross, too (along with other R&B artists of the era like Peabo Bryson, Freddie Jackson, Patti LaBelle etc.), when I was in the mood for that.

In college, I preferred Windham Hill Records for falling asleep to.

This is what Mt. Diablo looked like, as viewed from the east side, on 03/01/2023 at 12 noon during a break in the rain when it was REALLY cold.

The snow is all gone now because it isn't quite as cold now (not that you'd know it from my PGE bills) but it still hasn't stopped raining for over 2 months.

Speaking of basements and getting pissed off, wrangling a shopvac around is sure to do it. Nothing on those damn things pivot or spin the way you need it to while it’s in use, it’s always opposite with the stiff hose shoving the unit around. I feel like I’m tangling with a wild animal.

how far away from the mountains is the camera?

If the Israelites had been able to read maps and excel at land navigation, it wouldn't have taken them forty years to get out of that damned flat desert.
(I heard that the real reason was that they ate the maps instead of gefilte fish...and who can blame them?)
