No worries Man. I can imagine it feels pretty good to go from a drawing on paper to a sword. lots more steps. tooling choices, tool holding, material fixturing for multiple processes I'm assuming? The process itself?... I kind of feel like I stole Timmy's thunder a little bit...

You mean thinking about how much real estate the bevel is and whether it's worth polishing? How I might frost the kissaki?Anyone else still staring at the K20 pic.....

That will look amazing!!!!!You mean thinking about how much real estate the bevel is and whether it's worth polishing? How I might frost the kissaki?
Nope, not me...
Still boggled that Nate programmed the Mori to make the Yokote. That's one of the geometries that the majority of Japanese'ish swordmakers never get right (even some of the ones who make/sell katana in the $$$$ range).Anyone else still staring at the K20 pic.....

I'm a big fan of ambidextrous locks, especially ones that can be operated 1-handed, and locks that keep your fingers out of the way when closing the blade, and really like the Shark lock for all those reasons (and that the lock would take catastrophic material failure, to break/close in use).Sharpness test, Neanderthal style.
Sorry, wish I had a CPK folder instead ....

Hey, watch yer’self, newb! Some of us don’t consider it an addiction, we call it a lifestyle. It’s interesting to watch CPK addiction in action on THE NEXT SALE thread.
Definitely her father's child.Quite the wordsmith, that young lass.
It's not an addiction if you can stop buying at any time. Even if the reason you can't buy any more is because you're not fast enough to post.Hey, watch yer’self, newb! Some of us don’t consider it an addiction, we call it a lifestyle.![]()
Apparently a little bit of both. Probably more so dopamine though.I am no psychiatrist but music as a mood motivator may cause release of more dopamine as opposed to serotonin. I dunno know for sure though, Dr. Maximus may like to weigh in on this one.
ETA: unless it's Luther Vandross's. His music was def serotonin and yes, I'm dirt old!
Research has also shown that extended listening to TOOL can have the exact opposite effect.Apparently a little bit of both. Probably more so dopamine though.
Research has shown that blood
flows more easily when music is
played. It can also reduce heart
rate, lower blood pressure
decrease cortisol (stress hormone)
levels and increase serotonin and
endorphin levels in the blood.
