Jo contacted me yesterday and told me that my MC has shipped! Woo hoo! It's going to Eric @MashedCat for a nice holstex sheath. The wait is just gonna kill me here!

Thanks Tommy. I almost went with leather, but this one is going to get drug out into the woods with me this year, and beat on like a red-headed step knife! So I decided to stick with kydex/holstex, since I'll just be carrying it in my pack.

He said he could make me one, but he'd have to order some. Holstex is a little stiffer than kydex and has the carbon fiber looking pattern on it. I'll call him today and verify my order with him before the MC arrives to him tomorrow.

Thank you sir. I just got off the phone with Eric and he has black holstex coming. I like holstex, I've had many many sheaths made from holstex before and it's some tough stuff.

CPK MC is the most badass chopper on the market, and for what it is, I'd wager it outperforms the competition by a measureable degree. You guys will love it, especially you, Bravo- given the carnage you're dealing with and will have to deal with in the aftermath of the tornado

I'm sure I will! The specs say that I WILL like it! Didn't care for the EDC2, and didn't have enough time to become intimate with the BC that @trevitrace let me borrow, but I do know it was a bit more than I needed. I think this MC will be just fine. Of course, all choppers get compared to my SYKCO 1311, as it's the best chopper I have ever wielded. We'll see how the MC compares to it! Thanks Lorien!

Try the holstex! Not much more, stiffer and looks better than just plain jane kydex IMO.
