Thank you UffDa!

Jo contacted me yesterday and told me that my MC has shipped! Woo hoo! It's going to Eric @MashedCat for a nice holstex sheath. The wait is just gonna kill me here!

I have a MC on the way too!! I see a few people have sent them off to get sheaths made please post pictures. Right now I'm thinking i just want one to match my HDFN.

what is it about the EDC2 that you don't care for?

The small size. For that size blade, I usually carry a folder. It's a great knife with great ergos, but the blade is tad bit smaller than I like. The FK, or around 4", is usually the smallest size I'll go for a fixed blade.

ah, I see. Fair enough

There are folks like Jonny who own many, many more patterns in different sizes so not everything CPK will hit the exact spot for them. And then there are folks like me who will NOT buy anything else but a CPK so it is crucial to customers of my ilk to own at least one CPK pattern which covers a spot across that spectrum. Now please next bring out that slicey demon blade circa 4" - 4.5" :D

Variety is the spice of life my friend!

Oh you silly! I luv spicy food but I thought we're talking spice knife life ;)

TBT if I currently had a need for everyday 1095 type beaters, there are quite a few ESEEs which would end up in my shopping cart. For top notch knives CPK and for beaters and then gifters ESEE would do for me ;)

No problems with Becker at all, but that's one extra hobby I really can't afford to get into so far as time goes! I'm just too afraid that I'll get carried away into the "Becker-Head" stuff with my addictive type of personality. ESEEs, I've owned in the past and fully enough for me to not fuss with (I like their fuglyish micarta stuff anyway), customizing, etc. Beckers are darn good 1095 knives, no qualms from me.

Oh you're not going to get carried away, you could buy every model of Becker there is, for the price of one CPK!

^ I'm sure that you're being facetious but I just wanted to highlight that's just a joke as we wouldn't want newbies who lurk the sub to think that CPKs are priced outrageously high. Not directly from Nathan anyway! ;)

That was also my experience. I feel like it would be great for someone who needed a handy fixed blade on the regular, but for me I am either in a classroom or the bush. There isn't much in between in my life. Also, I really do have big hands. The ergos were impressive, but I have a hard time coping with smaller handles. The EDC2 was enough handle for me to actually use (unlike pretty much any knife that could be called a necker) but less than I like.
