Yippee!

I now have a whole house generator setup, inspected, started / tested and on standby. Not as exciting as a brand new CPK, but it still has its attractions.

I hope you never need it. Piece of mind and preparedness are nice. Too many folks are reactive instead of proactive.

I foolishly spent my CPK money on a Weber gas grill. My old one literally fell apart after 15 (?) years.

I used to think I was reasonably smart, but it turns out I'm dumb.

You can always slam the lid down on your hand if you need to draw blood.

Because it can cost $1200-1400 for a windshield due to the eyesight calibration and heating elements in the Subaru windshield we bought the $1800 glass warranty in 2020. We used it in the first 3 months of owning the car due to the rocks in the sand used to treat the icy roads that first winter. We used it again last winter. Now who’s laughing. Not the insurance company.
