Makes sense. I will add you no longer need to pass a drug test or have citizenship to work USPSNow that you mention that*, I noticed something which I had not as I ran up north the I-5 corridor here in CA. I hope that this post does not degenerate into something poly-dick-all and BS of that nature because it is just an observation of some half-wit dumb-me!
So you recall that during the supply chain issues, one of the shortages being mentioned was shortage of drivers with CDL so lotsa people started rushing to those kind of driving schools in the hope of filling those kinda jobs. Anyway, during my last long haul excursion up the I-5, I noticed more Indian looking (subcontinent of India) truck/lorry drivers and also more Indian type fast-food restaurants popping up at the truck stops; I had not noticed this evolution before! However, I'm GTG with this as I prefer Tandoori over Panda Express while the road and Chai over Starbucks coffee. #winning
*also not denigrating an entire subset of people, just implying that perhaps because of the language barrier maybe it would be harder to get into USPS system for fresh immigrants than getting a CDL?
