I just read an article about the new 3.0 Duramax, GM is saying it’s perfectly normal and not a problem that it is an oil burner. They are supposedly burning a quart of oil every 2k miles.

That's a feature, not a bug. I think that was the model that was designed in tandem with GM - Tehran.

Yeah, the Fords usually leak enough fuel into the crankcase to make up for any oil they're burning.

Yeah I think there's probably 80 of them left over. We did not consume as many of these as we did on the Magna cut.

The Delta protocol did not work with Magnacut at all. But a variation of it is working beautifully with these Cruwear and we're calling it good.




We can all look forward to pretty decent corrosion resistance, fantastic edge retention, and enough durability to get through a 16 penny nail at 18 DPS without too much drama. I really think you guys are going to like this.

I’m actually shocked my Cummins don’t use a lick of oil. I thought for sure from previous experience they were all oil burners. Diesel and oil.

I only have this ugly and fat Bowie in Cruwear (well, PD1, actually), would be really nice to get a better cutter with a decent blade shape

Nathan the Machinist , I’ve been trying hard to purchase a knife. What’s a guy gotta do to purchase a 5” in Delta 3V, 60.5 HRC. Would you say the Magnacut is superior? Just ready to get this added to my kit. Thanks!

So if I sell everything, I could probably buy outright some property in the Spokane area. But when I transfer I could either stay in Service, or move to sales. Either way, I’d take about a 50-70k a year hit. Older I get, it’s not all about the money.
