Nathan: I am glad your dog is okay. There have been lots of reports of very aggressive coyotes all around this year. I hope you get the culprits.

There's plenty of young fawns walking around here...so I imagine that predator activity is going to be high.

Much of the CPK compound is wooded. There's coyotes in there. Last night they attacked one of my dogs. Jack is fine, but had I not gotten to her as fast as I did she would have been in trouble.

I'm going to start killing the shit out of some coyotes now.

I'm glad your dog is ok Nate. We had coyotes den on our property for years and never had a problem with them and our dogs.
Our neighbor to the north of us had a waterfall / fountain in their backyard and loved the coyotes coming in for a drink. Well, those people moved, and the new folks got rid of the fountain and the coyotes have moved on as well.
Ever since then we've had a real problem with rabbits and ground squirrels. I "relocate" 5 or 6 a week. I wish the coyotes were back.

What you thinking Nate? Spotlight, night vision, and 300 Blackout? When I lived on the east side of the state we had a couple packs around our house. They got one of our dogs once. We would go out around midnight with a spotlight after that and sit in the back of the truck and just light them up with a couple .223 ARs. Fun times.

I was out there this afternoon. I heard them but I didn't see them and then it started raining so I came in.

Seems like there’s been some squirrel hate discussed here before (?).

Don’t think I ever shared this, but every dog I’ve ever had chased squirrels. But this guy actually caught one. A dog! I never got tired of seeing him run. He was really something to behold at full speed.
